About Me

Eilidh Horder and Suki the cat on shoulder B&W

Hi! I'm Eilidh, a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser, lucky enough to spend lots of time with my two children (who, incidentally, have superpowers), two cats and Fido the Romanian rescue dog.

The aim of this emotional and mental health blog is to share my experiences and reach out to others who might relate - a little reminder that we are not alone 🥰

Let’s talk about finding deeper meaning, peace, acceptance and self-knowledge. Love is all!

Turn down the white noise and find your own song!

😡 I wrote this poem when I feared for the lives of loved ones 😡
Sometimes ‘experts’ who are supposed to protect children from domestic abuse get it wrong and this has devastating consequences.
This is for all those mothers living in fear, adult survivors of abuse, mothers with children murdered by spouses or ex-partners and other victims of domestic abuse.
I unearthed my poem because during the current pandemic, cases of domestic abuse have risen. Women and children cooped up with their abusers heightens tensions and directly translates as a surging risk of harm or even death.
🎙I’ve added a recording of myself reading 🎙
😡 I might sound angry. It makes me angry 😡

But I hope you ‘enjoy’ it…

🙏 Peace and Love! 🙏
