A friend in need... probably needs a friend

A friend in need ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’, but what does that even mean? I have always found it a little contradictory. Surely it should be the other way around. Something like, ‘A friend who is there when you are in need, is a friend indeed’. Not quite the same ring, […]

‘Depression’ is not a dirty word

Depression is not a dirty word

It’s taken me a long time to own the term ‘depression’ because so much guilt and shame is linked to it. To be able to heal, first, you need to own how you are feeling. I believe a series of life events led to my mental breakdown. Let’s talk about depression. It’s not a dirty word!

About Me

Eilidh Horder and Suki the cat on shoulder B&W

Hi! I'm Eilidh, a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser, lucky enough to spend lots of time with my two children (who, incidentally, have superpowers), two cats, Fido the Romanian rescue dog, and our new additions, three little rats.

The aim of this emotional and mental health blog is to share my experiences and reach out to others who might relate - a little reminder that we are not alone 🥰

Let’s talk about finding deeper meaning, peace, acceptance and self-knowledge. Love is all!

Turn down the white noise and find your own song!

👈 Oh for hindsight! 👈 If only we knew then 👈 Oh for hindsight! 👈

If only we knew then what we know now!

I'm preparing a piece for my blog which has gone a bit quiet (been juggling 'home-schooling', looking for work, doing the work, moving to a new country during a pandemic & living in an (rather awesome & perfect location) AirB&B, all the usual stuff 🤣).

💙 I miss my blog so maybe you could help me out by answering one question - and I'll use your answers in the next piece! 💙

🤔 If you were to meet your younger self... and could give one piece of advice... what would it be? 🤔

👇 Answers in the comments 👇please (I'll go first)... ✨✨✨
